How it works

Our Relationship Repair Program starts with an Initial Behaviour Consultation, which lasts approximately 2 hours. We will discuss everything about your dogs, your lifestyle together and your goals.

We will put easy-to-practice techniques into place from day one to ensure bad habits aren’t being practised and new associations can begin to be built.

Each week, we will have a coaching session together, on the same day and at the same time, to ensure you have enough time to practice the new techniques. Weekly sessions together ensure we’re on the right track and progress is being made. We will take everything at your dog’s pace.

Support in your pocket

Throughout the program, we have a Pocket Pal Coaching group set up, this is between myself, you and your family (and dog walker too – if you have one).

Here I will share advice, videos and voice clips with you, I will ask you to send me videos and regular updates throughout each week too. I will watch each video and give you feedback and advice.

There is no need to wait until our sessions, your Pocket Pal Coaching group is so you can use me as your google!! I want to be the one who you fire all of your questions at, use me and lean on me for support as much as you feel you need to.

Ellie has literally changed our lives with her kindness, support and guidance. We are a multi-dog household with one resource guarder, who was very reactive at everything. We reached out to Ellie to get some help and support with our miniature dachshunds. Frank & Bruno 🐾 Both our dogs had different struggles in different areas. Very quickly, Ellie was able to identify what support was needed for each dog and taught us how to support their needs.
The change has been remarkable; we are astonished with how smart and intelligent our dogs actually are. They had so much potential, but we just needed the right support to let them show us and my goodness, they have certainly done that!

They're still the most beautiful dogs, but with Ellie's help there even better! Their reactivity has improved, and their manners are impeccable! It's brought out the best in them and us. Ellie advised us on diet, treats, healthcare, medication, and much more!

Being a multi-dog household, we soon realised how different our twins were. The knowledge and understanding we have of the breed is something we will hold onto forever, and that has all come from Ellie. We have continued with our program with Ellie and will continue in to the new year because we enjoy it so much and so do our dogs.

The training program is not only the best thing we have ever done, but it's allowed us to be able to enjoy our dogs even more than before, knowing we have strong support from Ellie and understanding of their little world. FAQ.

Will my dog grow out of it?

As lovely and simple as that would be…..it’s very unlikely. Behaviour is driven by emotions, and just like us, dogs don’t tend to just grow out of how they are feeling.

You may have previously noticed the odd grumble, the odd bark and lunge, the odd overreaction to a perfectly normal situation – but now, you can pretty much predict that your dog will grumble, or bark and lunge, or overreact in that situation.

This is because the emotions that are driving the behaviour are getting more intense, and the message your dog is trying to communicate isn’t working, therefore the behaviour will continue to get worse.

What methods will we be using with my dog?

All of the methods I use are kind, fair, and effective, they are all force-free, up-to-date, and science-based. Both you and your dog are encouraged to express how you feel, nothing is hidden, judged or suppressed.

Can you guarantee results?

Behaviour is a form of expressing emotions and feelings, the way your dog behaves is a reflection of their association with that particular situation.

This could be something super exciting, horribly terrifying or incredibly frustrating.

To guarantee that I could change this behaviour expression you are seeing would mean completely disregarding the fact that your dog is a living animal with their own feelings.

The only guarantee that I can or will ever give you is that I will do my very best to support you, give you access to all of my knowledge and experience and always put your dog’s needs first in order to improve their quality of life. That’s it.

Now, that’s not to say I can’t help you to reach your goals, but having an understanding of where behaviour comes from, why your dog is expressing themselves in that manner – whether it is desirable or not – and how to work towards the goals you have is what I do best!
